This award is presented to individuals who demonstrate exceptional understanding of the many facets of design and exhibit outstanding critical and creative “outside-the-box” thinking in professional practice.

Ain Shams merit Award (City planning)

This award was presented to the team of specialists deployed to Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt, for their work supporting the redesign of the city of Luxor following the excavation of the Avenue of Sphinxes between the Karnak and Luxor temples, which resulted in the displacement of a portion of the local population. The award was conferred by the former President of Egypt.
